The Communications Department promotes transparency, trust, and civic engagement throughout the City of Mableton. We serve as the central source for public information, ensuring that city updates, initiatives, and services are communicated clearly, accurately, and consistently. Our goal is to provide residents, businesses, visitors, and employees with timely and reliable information about their local government.
We view effective communication as a cornerstone of public service. By maintaining open and accessible channels for dialogue, we strengthen the relationship between the city and the community it serves and support participation in the democratic process.
The Communications Department is committed to maintaining an informed public, an open government, and a unified city voice. We take pride in representing the City of Mableton with professionalism, transparency, and integrity.

We plan and implement communication strategies that highlight city programs, projects, and community events. Each initiative reflects the city’s mission and values while connecting meaningfully with residents.
To advance government transparency, we coordinate the live streaming and recording of City Council and other public meetings. This allows residents to stay informed about city operations and decisions.
We oversee the city’s official website, ensuring it remains an accessible, user-friendly, and trustworthy resource. Department pages are updated regularly to provide accurate information and convenient access to services.
We manage all official city social media accounts, delivering real-time updates, public notices, and event information to keep the community informed and connected.
Strengthening public connection is central to our work. We develop initiatives that encourage participation, solicit feedback, and ensure that community voices guide how the city communicates.
During emergencies or significant incidents, we coordinate the release of accurate and timely information to help protect the safety and well-being of residents.
We serve as the city’s primary liaison to the news media, responding to inquiries and ensuring that the city’s message is conveyed accurately and professionally across all outlets.
Any external use of the City of Mableton’s name or logo—including for marketing, advertising, or promotional purposes—requires prior written approval from the Communications Department. Requests must include details about how and by whom the name or logo will be used, as well as whether the use is for profit. Please submit all requests by email.
