Why is the City Council not meeting on a regular schedule?

Because the City of Mableton was not given a Transition Team by the Governor when incorporated and there are a number of activities necessary to create new City and begin receiving revenue, there is a necessity to meet more often and sometimes very quickly for the Council to vote in a public forum. Once the initial Transition activities are completed we will be on a prescribed schedule as set forth by our City Charter and Ordinance.
