Lily Smith is a versatile professional with a strong background in government, nonprofit, and private sector leadership. She currently serves as Administrative Supervisor to City Manager William Tanks in the City of Mableton, where she provides high-level support across departments, manages cross-functional initiatives, and helps shape internal operations for one of Georgia’s newest municipalities. 

Previously, Lily served as Executive Assistant to the Mayor of Mableton, where she played a key role in constituent engagement, event planning, and the launch of critical city functions. Her government experience also includes her time as Deputy City Clerk for the City of Kennesaw, where she supported legislative processes, managed records compliance, and helped modernize administrative systems.

Lily’s career spans leadership in the private and nonprofit sectors. She was Program Manager for Effex Management Solutions, overseeing HR, recruiting, payroll, and employee relations for a 100-member workforce, and served for over a decade as Medical Front Office Supervisor at WeCareMD, managing daily healthcare operations and team coordination. 

Her nonprofit experience includes advocating for victims of human trafficking at Georgia Cares and promoting international engagement through her work with the Atlanta Council on International Relations. 

Lily holds a Master’s in Diplomacy from the University of Reading and a Bachelor’s in Political Science from Kennesaw State University.
